Steps Of Activism
Activists are people that work to make the world a better place. They are not afraid to express themselves. Some of the steps of activism are: fighting the obstacles, spreading the cause and getting help from others.
The first step of activism is fighting the obstacles. In the Time for Kids magazine it says that Malala was targeted by the Taliban but she fought them by not giving up and even after they shoot her in the head she recovered and she kept on spreading her cause. Another example is in the the video, it says that Alex Lin had obstacles. His obstacles were people that didn’t want to recycle electronics because they didn’t appreciate his cause. This shows that every activist faces obstacles.
Another step of activism is spreading the cause. Spreading the cause can be done in many ways. One way you can spread the cause is like Malala, Malala used her voice and her special personality to spread her cause which means that she went on TV and talked about her cause. Another way is by handing out papers like Alex Lin but Alex also made an electronics recycling program that helped him spread his cause. This shows that you can spread your cause in multiple ways.
The last step of activism is getting help from others. One activist got help from her dad who was a teacher and helped her get into the boys school though she was a girl but her school got shut down by the Talibans. Alex Lin, another activist, got help from his friends who support his cause and were part of making the electronics recycling program Westerly Innovations Network (WIN). This shows that getting help is always better than working by yourself in some way.
There are three steps you can follow to become an activist. You will run into obstacles while you are spreading the cause. But, just remember to get help from others. So now that you know the steps of activism go out there and change the world for the better!
